"Your/You're" and "Their/They're/There"

These commonly confuse people, which is probably why someone sent you to this page. If American, or even English, isn't your first language that's ok; hopefully this will clear things up.

If this is your first language you should be embarrassed unless you're (as in "you are") under ten years old. The internet has made you stupid.

Use Example
Your ownership for you (second person possessive) Your stupidity is astounding.
You're you are (contraction) You're stupid.

Use Example
Their ownership for them (third person possessive, usually plural) Their stupidity is astounding.
They're they are (contraction) They're stupid.
There/th> a location or empty pronoun Those people over there are stupid. There is no hope for them.
